1) Can I undertake a Australian School-based Apprenticeship and achieve an OP?
Australian School-based apprenticeships and traineeships are available in most schools, whether you are OP eligible or not. For more information, click here.

2) Are there any entry requirements?
To become an apprentice or trainee you need to be at least 15 years of age, unless you have written evidence of special dispensation granted by the Minister of Education. For more information, click here.

3) What kind of wages will I receive as an Australian School-based apprentice or trainee?
As a Australian School-based apprentice or trainee you will generally be paid an Australian School-based training wage for the time that you spend in productive work. For more information, click here.

4) Are there any costs involved?
The great thing about apprenticeships and traineeships is that unlike university or college, you are not required to pay for your training, as this cost is the responsibility of your employer. For more information, click here.
