Frequently asked questions

1) How will my training be assessed?
Apprenticeships and traineeships (also known as a Australian Apprenticeship) involve both on and off-the-job training. For more information, click here.

2) How long will my apprenticeship or traineeship last?
A full-time traineeship generally lasts for a period between one to two years, whilst a full-time apprenticeship usually lasts for up to four years. If you have started a part-time or ‘school based’ apprenticeship or traineeship, the nominal durations above will generally be doubled. For more information, click here.

3) What are my responsibilities and obligations as an apprentice or trainee?
