Queensland Apprenticeship Services (QAS) is an Australian Apprenticeships Centre contracted by the Australian Government to provide support to employers, job seekers, apprentices, trainees and other interested parties.
We currently deliver services to North and North Western Queensland through its Cairns, Mount Isa and Townsville offices.
QAS is a business unit of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) and part of the Australian Apprenticeships Alliance (AAA).

- Assessment and processing of payments for Australian Government incentives, allowances, and income support payments.
- Commitment to processing and claim turn-around times, meaning you receive your incentives sooner.
- Simplifying the incentive claims process with pre-filled claim forms and reminders.
- Leading IT system to efficiently manage and report on incentive claims.
Tailored support
- Support and assistance through our offices, by staff who understand your region and industry.
- Centralised account management for large and multi-site employers, making it easier to manage apprentices and trainees.
- Strong links with major industry and regional networks.
- Assistance liaising with the Queensland Department of Education and Training (DET), who administer the apprenticeship and traineeship system.
