Who is QAS?

Queensland Apprenticeship Services (QAS) is an Australian Apprenticeships Centre contracted by the Australian Government to provide support to employers, job seekers, apprentices, trainees and other interested parties.

Our services include: free information and advice, access to funding and incentives, streamlining government paperwork and tailored support.

QAS currently delivers services to North and North Western Queensland through its Cairns, Mount Isa and Townsville offices.

  • Support and assistance through our offices, by staff who understand your region and industry.
  • Centralised account management for large and multi-site employers, making it easier to manage apprentices and trainees.

Payment of incentives and allowances

  • Ensure accurate assessment and payment of incentive and allowance claims.
  • Leading IT system to efficiently manage and report on incentive claims.
  • Simplifying the incentive claims process with pre-filled claim forms and reminders.
  • Commitment to processing and claim turn-around times, meaning you receive your incentives sooner.

QAS was created as a business unit of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland to deliver support services to employers, current and potential apprentices and trainees and the community.
