As part of its policy paper "Skilling Australia for the Future", the Australian Government announced it has expanded the role of existing Australian Apprenticeships Centres (AACs) to establish a network of Skills and Training Information Centres (STICs).
What are STICs?
Skills and Training Information Centres provide information and advice on skills and training to prospective students, employers, jobseekers, existing workers and other interested parties. They also refer employers to Industry Skills Councils where employers are seeking to have their training needs diagnosed.
When did STICs commence?
STIC services commenced from 1 April 2008
