Indigenous Agencies

Queensland Apprenticeship Services works closely with the Indigenous community to help promote apprenticeships and traineeships as a viable long-term employment option for indigenous jobseekers. To help facilitate this process we have a dedicated Indigenous Officer whose role is to work with Indigenous agencies, employers and the community to increase the number of Indigenous people engaging in the apprenticeships and traineeships system.

Queensland Apprenticeship Services can assist your organisation by:

• Providing you with FREE information and advice on Indigenous employment programs
• Working with your organisation to develop apprenticeship and traineeship programs
• Assisting employers with applying for Australian Government incentives and assistance
• Developing links between schools, the community and employers
• Assistance with placing Indigenous jobseekers with employers, using our extensive employer networks
• Working with the Indigenous community to promote employment opportunities
• Providing advice on developing training and mentoring programs 
• Liaising with State and Australian Government Departments on your behalf
• Working with your organisation to develop joint marketing opportunties
• Developing targeted marketing material to suit your specific requirements
• Attending group presentations with your organisation to promote Indigenous apprenticeships and traineeships
