Australian Government Incentives

The Australian Government provides a number of incentives and allowances to assist employers to take on apprentices or trainees with a disability. These include:

• Wage Support of up to $104.30 per week for the duration of the apprenticeship or traineeship
• Workplace Modifications valued up to $5,000
• Tutorial Assistance of up to $5,500 (inc. GST) per year
• Mentor or Interpreter Assistance of up to $5,500 (inc. GST) per year.

• Assisting you with the apprenticeship and traineeship signup process, including lodgment of paperwork, workplace visits and claiming government incentives
• Providing you with free information and advice on employing apprentices and trainees with a disability, including eligibility critieria
• Accessing whether an employer is eligible to receive Australian Government incentives under the ‘Assistance for Australian Apprentices with a Disability’ programme.
• Providing you direct access to our Disabilities Assessment Officer who is available to answer questions you may have
• Assisting your organisation to place jobseekers with a disability with interested employers using our extensive client database
• Arranging presentations to your staff, parents and clients to provide a better understanding of how apprenticeships and traineeships work 
• Providing your staff with marketing material to promote apprenticeships and traineeships to your clients, including developing targeted marketing campaigns
