Queensland Apprenticeship Services is an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC).

We are contracted by the Australian Government to provide support to employers, jobseekers, apprentices, trainees and other interested parties.

Queensland Apprenticeship Services works with over 11,000 active Australian apprentices and trainees throughout North, North Western and Far North Queensland Including the Torres Straight Island region and have locally based offices in Townsville, Mount Isa and Cairns.

We maintain strong links with industry, Federal, State and Local Governments and work to meet the Australian Government’s focus on Skills Shortages in addition to meeting local labour force demands.

We simplify the entire process, saving employers time and ensuring that the appointment and management of apprentices or trainees is streamlined and easy.

At no cost to business, we provide guidance and assistance, including:

• A network of locally based consultants, who can visit business workplaces at no cost to advise on training opportunities for new and existing staff.
• Advice on government incentives and benefits for which business may be entitled.
• Assistance with all the necessary paperwork.
• Advice on how business may be able to claim payroll tax rebates.
• Access to our secure online portal, Apprenticeships Direct, to easily track apprentice and company incentive payments.
• Ongoing advice and support.
• Customised service in all states across Australia for multi-site and multi-state employers through the Australian Apprenticeships Alliance (AAA).
• Connection to recruitment options and services if required.
